COLLEGE MAGAZINE CLOSE ANALYSIS(2)
Firstly, this magazine is a college magazine which represents how young people act both in college and the community. The masthead is ‘college,’ which is boldly curved at the top of the page. The school used the curve to make it stand out and unique from the rest. This helps to attract the costumer’s attention to buy the magazine with the yellow colour. The use of the yellow colour creates an atmosphere of joy, intellect and energy which sounds like a lovely place to be. Also the use of black colour around the ‘college’ mutually blends with the yellow. The yellow is a sunny colour and the student has a sunny smile which makes the magazine looks welcoming.
However, the black and yellow colour of the masthead do not really blend with the background because there is only a college building. It makes a fresh contrast with the background.
