PHOTOGRAPHY PLANNING
WHO:After analysing my questionnaire which I gave to my target audience, I decided to fellow this data and produce the best music magazine which will attract my reader. Firstly, I would use a female and male for my iconography who are 18 years of age. This is because majority of my candidates prefer both genders since it represents how these young people act both in the society and school. I decided to use an ethnicity of white and black race, although R&B (rhythm and blues) is more associated with African American. I used these races to represent how our society is formed and creates a sense of welcoming and happy feeling.
WHERE:My music magazine will have a white background taking from a studio or a white background. I purposely chose this background because at will blend smoothly with the texts, fonts, and colour which will make it unique. This is because my target audience do not like monochromatic colour and prefer reading from any angle with red and sharp deep blue. Using these colours will creates pattern and make it more appealing to my target audience since red is an emotional intense colour which symbolises passion, desire, and love. Also, sharp deep blue will creates an atmosphere of new life.
WHEN:For my music magazine, taking my photography at any time of the day will not make any different since I will be taking it at the studio. However, the big element when taking the picture should have a high key. I decided to take my photography in the studio because it will give me the right angle and clear picture I want.
HOW:Firstly, I drew a sketch on a paper of how I want my people to pose when taking the photograph at the studio. I would like the male and female to pose facing the opposite side with their back. The female will be lying on the man slightly pulling his hands as well. This will show that she is in command of the man. Furthermore, the two people would dress smartly in black suit to represent the ‘new R&B’ and look professional. I chose this passive pose to make it catcher to my target audience and express my emotion easily.
NOTICE: (this plan to my photography may change if it may not suite or attract my target audience)
